GPCA: GCC chemical capacity to rise; margins likely to be squeezed

At today¡¯s Gulf Petrochemical and Chemical Association¡¯s (GPCA; Dubai) forum in Dubai delegates were informed about the expected rise in capacity in the GCC states in the next few years although fewer basic petrochemical complexes are expected to be built. Innovation again dominated the second day of the proceedings with keynote speakers including James Fitterling, executive v.p. Dow Chemical, Werner Breuers, board member of Lanxess and Daniele Ferrari, CEO of Versalis.
