Intended use;This immunoassay kit allows for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat C4 concentrations in serum and plasma.
Introduction:C4 plays a central role in the activation of the classical pathway of the complement system.C4b is part of the classical activation pathway. The protein is expressed as a single chain precursor which is proteolytically cleaved into a trimer of alpha, beta, and gamma chains prior to secretion.
Test principle:The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to C4. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated polyclonal antibody preparation specific for C4.The concentration of C4 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
