Main Function

1.Stimulate appetite and control indigestion.

Properties

Pungent in flavour, warm in nature, it is tropistic to the kidney and spleen channels. Being pungent and warm in property, it can strengthen Yang to dispell cold, especially can warm the middle-jiao,the stomach and spleen to reduce the secretion of saliva, serving to treat excessive salivation due to deficiency-cold of the mild-jiao and epigastric pain in the type of excess-cold. It can also act on the kidney channel to warm the kidney, 
strengthen Yang and  astringe the lower-jiao, serving to treat debility due to kidney-deficiency and diarrhea in the deficiency type of both spleen and kidney.
